ABOUT US

  • Paramate is developing a solution with a sensor, that includes low, reliable and accurate measurements of the toxic gas hydrogen sulphide in land-based aquaculture facilities.

We want to contribute to more knowledge in the industry about this toxic gas, how it occurs and how to later prevent deadly outbreaks.

Increased fish size on land has led to increased use of seawater in RAS, which has brought with it several water quality challenges, including the toxic gas H2S, which in small quantities can be fatal to fish.

  • The sensor easily communicate with those who are responsible for preventing H₂S in the facilities.

  • The gas is produced when organic material is broken down by bacteria without oxygen present. These bacteria will then switch to the reduction of sulphate, which there is a lot of in seawater, which leads to the formation of hydrogen sulphide.
